Sales Manager

nesto is looking for a sales manager to join its growing team of mortgage brokers. 

nesto mortgage brokers are the final and most important touchpoint with potential nesto borrowers. These advisors hold a critical part in the customer journey as they are the final interaction before a borrower commits to a mortgage product. Over an extended phone call, the advisor must effectively understand a borrower’s true needs and clearly articulate nesto’s value for each unique situation. 

As we rapidly scale the size of the mortgage broker team many times over we are looking for a seasoned sales leader to set individual and team objectives, implement best sales practices, coach individuals on world-class sales habits and hold the team accountable for reaching nesto’s growth objectives. In this challenging role, you will be a critical element in bringing nesto’s unrivalled value to ever more Canadians.

What will some of your responsibilities be?

  • Coaching, mentoring and management of a growing team of mortgage brokers of various levels of experience.
  • Structuring the team’s daily, weekly and monthly agenda to build a high performing sales team.
  • Defining group and individual targets, incentive structure, and holding the team accountable.
  • Recruiting and onboarding ever growing cohorts of brokers.

What’s nesto looking for in a Sales Manager?

  • Accomplished in both individual and leadership of inside sales with 4+ years experience.
  • Proven track record of people management and sales coaching.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and bring out the best of those reporting to you.
  • Experience selling financial products is mandatory – mortgage experience is a strong asset.
  • Strong English & French communication skills;

Mortgage Experience Specialist

nesto is looking for a Mortgage Experience Specialist to offer an outstanding financing experience to nesto’s borrowers.

The Underwriting team holds a very important role in the customer journey. This team is responsible to guide the borrower along the financing journey, working closely with our partner lenders in satisfying outstanding conditions.

What will some of your responsibilities be?

  • Guiding clients along the journey – answering questions, providing timely updates on status of the application
  • Reviewing documentation and conduct risk assessment based on nesto’s underwriting criteria
  • Preparing closing documents and other forms required for funding
  • Ordering and manage appraisals as required
  • Coordinating with lenders to satisfy conditions
  • Ensuring compliance of each file and accurate reporting for accounting
  • Supporting our Principal Broker on strategic initiatives

Director of Legal Affairs

We are looking for a Director of Legal Affairs to join our leadership team and support nesto’s high growth. This is a highly strategic role in the organization.

This role will report directly to the CEO.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Leading the drafting and assisting in the negotiation of all of nesto’s commercial agreements with customers and suppliers, providing balanced advice to internal stakeholders;
  • Providing sound legal advice to our internal teams, including the executive team, on various strategic matters and leading negotiations process when needed;
  • Managing the legal aspects of important transactions for nesto;
  • Ensuring nesto complies with all provincial and federal laws, and monitoring any potential regulatory changes in our landscape;
  • Playing a key role in proactively managing risk through training and coaching, as well as through the creation and implementation of efficient contract governance;
  • Utilizing sound business judgment to assess risks and provide management with balanced advice related to legal matters;
  • Performing research and providing legal advice on various matters, including labor, intellectual property, and privacy.

What’s nesto looking for in a Director of Legal Affairs?

  • Member of the Quebec Bar for at least 10 years;
  • Experience in a law firm or fast-growing company (experience in the mortgage or financial sectors is a plus);
  • Experience in commercial and transactional legal matters;
  • Excellent time and project management skills;
  • Excellent drafting skills (commercial contracts);
  • Experience with compliance matters is a plus;
  • Capacity to identify and solve problems independently;
  • Excellent language skills and fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is required.

  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements;
